Brief Biography or Teaching Philosophy
Hi, I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) at Monash University. I’ve always had a strong passion for math and problemsolving, and that naturally led me to start tutoring others back in high school. Since then, I’ve continued teaching through volunteer programs, private tutoring, and as a university PASS tutor. I enjoy simplifying complex ideas and helping students gain the confidence to tackle challenges on their own. I started tutoring back in high school—mostly helping friends and classmates with math—and it naturally grew from there. I’ve always believed that if you understand something well, you should be able to explain it simply. That’s the approach I bring to my students today: breaking down complex concepts into digestible parts, using visual explanations, analogies, and lots of practice to build confidence and clarity. Every student is different, and there’s no single way to teach. Some need stepby-step guidance, others just need the right question to spark understanding. I adapt to both the student’s level and their goal—whether that’s preparing for exams, building a stronger foundation, or just making sense of tricky topics. My sessions are focused but relaxed, and I encourage students to ask questions, challenge themselves, and understand not just what to do, but why it works. Above all, I believe learning becomes powerful when students develop curiosity, the discipline to keep going, and the mindset to improve. I don’t just teach to pass exams—I help students learn how to approach problems, think smarter, and sometimes even "play the game" better.
